We attended the piano trio performance. For such a small room, the acoustics were wonderful and the musicians sounded amazing together. There were also several solo performances and each musician showed mastery of their instrument and music. This was not too long and the venue was small so you could easily see the musicians performing. It was a bit difficult to find.

This concert experience exceeded all expectations. The quartet were fantastic, the selections played were beautiful and entertaining. (What an encore!) All masterfully led by a stellar first violin. The acoustics and intimacy of the venue make all the difference. Highly recommended and many thanks to the musicians who made it such a memorable experience.

Incredible concert, in historic venue, with world class musicians. Remarkable evening.

The setting, very small hall, no amps or mics, we could hear the actual instruments playing. The musicians were incredibly talented and we loved every moment of the evening. It was also very well organized and seating was so well arranged. In fact it was so good, my 4 and 7 year old grandchildren didn't make any sound and listened quietly through the entire performance ! Great job and highly recommend this to anyone wanting to experience the music of Mozart in such a personal and small setting.

The famous orchestras and singers of Vienna do not perform in July and August. This performance was a wonderful substitute featuring very talented musicians. Beautiful place and music.

It was just an amazing evening. I was on Vienna for three days and I just could not go home without going to a concert, so I went to the Sala Terrena to watch the piano trio, and I was amazed from the beginning to the end. The pianist was not just a pianist, he was a showman: virtuoso, funny, dramatic interpretation while playing the piano. The cellist - oh my god - Teodora was amazing and the Flamenco she played just blew my mind. And then Claudio, the director, he is also a showman on the violin - his interpretarion of the pizzicato was fenomenal. That concert worth every single penny.

My party was not able to attend the event, however when I tried reaching out to reschedule or get refunded, no one assisted me or even responded after multiple follow ups. Very disappointed by the customer service given we were really looking forward to the experience and would have booked again if permitted.

This experience was amazing! The program was varied and enjoyable. All the players (violin, piano, cello) played well together and no one person dominated. Intimate setting and beautiful frescoes. I also enjoyed the introduction/backstory behind each piece before they were performed. It gave helpful context for understanding the pieces.

Visiting such an intimate venue in which Mozart himself actually created and played was a treat by itself, but added to that were four skilled musicians in period costume recreating an authentic musical experience from Mozart’s era. It was a truly magical event and perhaps the most memorable from our time in Vienna.

This concert was a wonderful experience. The space is beautiful and air conditioned (which was so much appreciated in the summer heat). The musicians were fantastic. They talked about each piece they played which made it so much more interesting. They played together and separately and it was all wonderful. Drink were served during the intermission in the beautiful courtyard. It was just a lovely way to spend the evening. Buying tickets online was easy.

The Mozart Ensemble was the best live music that we heard in Vienna. I have a masters degree in music education and completed my undergrad in jazz piano performance so I can have high expectations when attending performances. This performance blew me away. It was far superior to other music I heard in Vienna which came off somewhat flat and uninspired but the Mozart Haus performers were all incredible musicians AND the sound in the room was divine. I loved it so much I wanted to attend another evening!

My wife and I truly enjoyed our evening. It was well-organized, started on time, and the staff was incredibly courteous. The performance was very good, and the venue was magical. I would absolutely go again the next time I'm in Vienna. We also enjoyed speaking with several of the performers after the event - all were very friendly and open to speaking with us in English.

In the small but beautiful concerthall I was overwhelmd by the moving music of three outstanding musicians. Especially the cello player made me cry.

I'm so glad I decided to add this concert to our Vienna tour. The musicians were thoroughly entertaining. I didn't realize we would be treated to several solo pieces from our talented trio. My sons play violin and cello, and I play the piano, so it was a great opportunity to appreciate all three instruments in a very intimate setting. The venue itself is quite charming. We also attended Vivaldi's Four Seasons in Karlskirche. Both performances had much to offer. It's worth attending both for two unique experiences. Someone wrote that the commentary by some of the musicians seemed "silly." I viewed it as a rather genuine and intimate exchange that lacked pretentiousness, and I enjoyed the playfulness. The courtyard outside the venue is absolutely lovely, making it the perfect setting for a brief intermission.

The talent and virtuosity of the musicians exceeded our expectations. Location is not in the actual Mozart house, so it took a while to find the actual location which is in a monastery near the main square

If you're in Vienna definitely do this. In fact, go to Vienna just for this. You don't have to like classical music, it's really remarkable to see what live instruments sound like in such a setting with such accomplished musicians. It's a small room, and a small ensemble, like someone you know just pulls out his or her instrument and starts playing in their living room, and you're blown away. A rare experience and Mozart actually lived and played there.

Highly recommend for anyone visiting Vienna. Was absolutely breathtaking performance and got the chills listening to Mozart’s masterpieces! Will definitely be returning here for another concert next time I visit

This was a small intimate setting of a string quartet (with musicians dressed in traditional attire) and perhaps just 40-50 in the audience. We ended up seated in the front row, one or two metres from the players, which worried us at first, but actually, our seats enabled us to see the musicians playing at very close quarters. Their programme was a series of popular works, but rather than this being a cliched “tourist” performance, the quartet clearly enjoyed performing. That made it fun. They were also very “together” as an ensemble, and their musicianship was outstanding! They also included a brief discussion on each piece in English and German which was nice. All in all, coupled with a refreshing drink in the garden at the interval, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend.

As a classically trained musician, I was thrilled to find that this was a quality performance. Being able to experience this music in such a beautiful and historic setting was amazing. The musicians clearly enjoyed playing with each other and the program was the perfect length after a long day of sightseeing. A++

Mozart Haus was the most memorable and special experience we had in Vienna. The venue - the room - the atmosphere - all of it was just very special. I would recommend this as the top experience in Vienna. The musicians were more than we could have ever expected. The host was perfect. We were a family of 5, including kids aged 12, 15, and 18. The musicians are excellent but the selection of music and commentary by musicians felt silly. And, the ticketing and seating process disorganized. I bought tickets online way in advance but when we arrived we had to stand in line behind people with no tickets to exchange our reservations for precise seats. So we were not able to sit together and had worse seats than those who just walked it. The venue is lovely but I would put it second to a concert at the Musikverein.

My daughters and I loved this concert. The trio of musicians was not only highly proficient but charismatic and engaging as well. And the setting can't be beat. We sat no more than five feet away from them, and the venue itself was no bigger than a large living room. This was the musical highlight of our trip to Vienna.

The Mozart Ensemble themselves were genuinely excellent — engaging, warm, and clearly passionate about what they were doing. The trio didn't just play the music; they talked through the pieces, brought personality to the performance, and the Strauss waltz was a real highlight.

My only criticisms relate to the venue and its organisation. When booking online, we were able to select specific seats — so we assumed those seats were ours. On arrival, we were told seating actually works on a first-come priority basis according to booking time, and as we'd booked relatively late, we were directed to seats at the back in a corner. This was frustrating, not least because numerous seats throughout the venue sat completely empty for the entire concert. The venue was holding them in case late ticket holders showed up, which they didn't. The result was an odd situation where people with valid tickets were squeezed to the back while perfectly good seats stayed vacant all evening.

The fix seems simple: either allow genuine seat selection at the time of booking, or make clear that your specific seats aren't guaranteed if you fail to arrive before the concert begins. As it stands, the current system creates false expectations.

One minor point — a large party or conference was taking place directly outside the concert room, still within the venue, and the ambient noise was audible during the performance. The performers adapted and dealt with it extremely well. Not a dealbreaker, but not ideal.

Would I recommend it? Yes — the performers alone make it worth attending. Just go in with adjusted expectations about the seating.

The Mozart ensemble was terrific. The quality of the music was outstanding. The intimate venue was fabulous, The audience engagement was intense and genuine.

It was great. I would definitely recommend it. Its such an historic site and the music was very good. My only complaint is that it was overbooked, so crowded beyond capacity.

This was such an incredible experience. The acoustics of that room are stunning, and the musicians were incredibly talented. My husband and I spent a lovely evening in May listening to fantastic music. The venue is amazing just like the musicians. The whole atmosphere was great. A glass of prosecco in the rose garden was a bonus. We would recommend this experience. Suggestion for the organisers: when booking it would be good that we can choose the row: 1,2,3. We had the tickets for these but we were given the row when we arrived there. We were the first to arrive and got row 2. Anyway, nothlng could spoil our evening as we decided to have fun!

I would highly recommend this offer to friends and family because it's a cultural experience worth savouring. The music was enhanced richly by the acoustics of the venue. The ensemble are skilled professionals who truly brought the music to life, and I felt the immersive, expansive experience of the music permeate the being of everyone in the concert venue.

This is easily my favorite part of my trip to Vienna. The atmosphere was cozy and beautiful and the musicians were fantastic. I do think it might be helpful to have a sign saying "Line forms here", as attendees were unsure we were in the right place because there was no one to greet us until 5 minutes after ticket said doors opened. The performance more than made up for that.

Setting super but piano is terrible and audience is so philistine they don’t even know when (not) to clap (as well as being mostly dressed for camping). Get a decent piano and charge more and you’d be delivering an exceptional experience.

I don’t love classical music and so I was hesitant to go but other people in my tour group had gone the night before and really recommended it. The musicians are incredibly talented, the music is beautiful and it is such a unique location. It really was one of the highlights of my two week trip to Europe. I cannot recommend it enough!

Really liked the space and the quality of the musicians as well as music choice. Enjoyed the violinist explaining songs to us. No difficulties in booking. I would recommend more ventilation in the room. Although it was cool outside, it was too warm in the room with all of us sitting so close together. I would recommend this concert to my friends.

The intimacy of this venue made this concert unforgettable. I'm not a classical music expert, but I thought the musicians in the string quartet were super talented and a lot of fun to watch. My only gripe is the very tight seating. I am not overly large or especially overweight but I needed to sit sideways during the entire performance. I do wish the venue removed one or two chairs from each row to make the seating more comfortable. Regardless, I highly recommend this spot and would happily go again.

That intimate setting (about 60 seats in 4-5 rows), however, leads to a question of value: why does the website offer tiered pricing when seat locations are pretty much indistinguishable? Furthermore, as many reviewers note, the website does not make clear the location of the concert, i.e. not at Mozart House but a few blocks away.

Enjoyed the explanations and stories on classical music and composers in between sets. But as the space is very small and they cram people quite close together, it felt claustrophobic at times.

As I was deciding to see where to visit for my trip to Europe this spring (2026), I was recommended to visit this smaller intimate performance from a friend. Therefore, I made a trip to Vienna.

If you enjoy classical music, you have to make a visit to the previous home and play setting of Mozart. The room fits about 45-50 people. There really isn't a bad seat in the room. The ticket you purchased online (believe it was A or B), the sooner you purchase it, the closer you will get to the quartet. The first 3 rows are for the A group.

I went to the string quartet concert. The ladies that was there was dressed in the historical clothing and the primary speaker was engaging in explaining some of the music and provided some history of each piece and the building itself. They were very good and energetic in the musical pieces. There was a short intermission about half way through.

Only thing I would suggest is to make it more clear where the event takes place, there was a few of us that wasn't too sure.

The process of getting our seats was cumbersome. The person checking people in was running back and forth between the check-in table and the room. This was tiresome and appeared unnecessary until we got into the room and saw that he had no idea where he was seating people so he had to check each time people were given a ticket. The seating was so crowded that we had to move chairs to get in and out of our seats. These issues significantly detracted from the experience.

(We attended Saturday 25 April. 2026) The Sala Terrena venue was lovely, not just for its historic significance. Alas, the musicianship was only fair: intonation was poor -- especially at first in the Mozart Divertimento. By the Haydn quartet, it got better. The musicians were often slightly out of synch with each other. The first violinist Bentes or Lennertz --- the program lists two 1st violins (!) -- was more showman than musician. The violist Squizzato was good. But overall, we were disappointed. For a small town in Tirol, this group would have been ok, but not in Wien! In summary: a tourist experience, but not a musical experience.

We enjoyed the small setting string quartet concert very much. Excellent musicians and a good selection of popular classics. A bit confusing to find the venue, so plan to be there a little early.

The Mozart ensemble concert was one of the highlights of our Central Europe trip. All of the musicians were so talented especially the first violinist. We bought the cheapest seats (B) that were in an alcove but we could still see and hear the concert just as well as the more expensive seats. The fact that the concert took place in Mozart’s first apartment made this experience even more special.

This experience was our favorite thing we did in Vienna! It was so special to see music performed in such a beautiful room with amazing acoustics. We really enjoyed hearing the musicians talk about each piece.

The music was lovely. Outstanding performance and they played the pieces you always want to hear but rarely ever do at Music Verein or the Wein Konzerthaus. While Sala Terrena is so pretty, it is also just too packed with chairs. We were uncomfortable, squashed in the furthest back row wedged between a step in the window cubby. Our seats overlapped and you couldn't get an extra cm between them. I weigh 55kg and I was there with my son and friend --all under 60kg and we were on top of each other. Most people's shoulders overlapped with their neighbor. Charge more and put in less seats. The overcrowding made it uncomfortable. It would also be great to have an assigned seat so you could buy the chair. If you come late, or if you are a 3 person group that can be wedged into the window cubby --they will put you there.

This was one of the best experiences of our Vienna trip. The music was lovely and explained to us in advance as to the composer and some background.The venue is small so you can see the performers quick hands,precision and passion.Sit in the left to see pianists fast fingers!

We had a sense of “experiencing”the music, not just listening to it. This was certainly a highlight of our time in Vienna.

The check-in process could’ve been a little more streamlined and they really should sell a few less tickets. They pack you in like sardines so once you’re in there’s no getting out until the intermission. Also be aware they will make you take off your jacket and hang it up to prevent noise in the room. I would go see them again.

Finally about 20 minutes before the concert started, they put a sign out on the sidewalk pointing out where to enter. Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed our evening and the music. Would highly recommend! If we’re in Vienna again, would attend another concert here! Have already recommended this to our daughter who’s traveling to Vienna this summer.

Excellent musicians/entertainers in a wonderful setting.

The musicians put together a beautiful selection of music that was diverse and entertaining. I really appreciated how they explained the songs/composers. We had a lovely time!

Our sister-in-law, a music teacher in the U.S., said that this performance featured the most accomplished musicians of any performance she saw during her visit to Hungary and Austria!

The place is amazing and the musicians are great. The duration was about an hour. It could have been longer regarding the price.

Very nice to experience this concert in a beautifully decorated room, where Mozart himself once played. Even if you don’t like classical music, you’ll be enchanted. A great activity to do when visiting Vienna.

Just great and really special!

The concert and setting were fabulous. We were a few minutes late having gone to a different Mozarthaus (we should have studied ticket closer). The gentleman doing reception and refreshments could not have nicer. He put us at ease, took our coats, let us use the restroom, and subtly guided us to our seats between the first and second pieces without disturbing the performance or other audience members. He took our stressful situation and transformed it into a very relaxing and enjoyable evening.

We had a lovely time listening to some of the musical greats ! Will definitely recommend. However, wish the facilities for drinks and toilets were most easily accessible.

We greatly enjoyed hearing the excellent musicians in such a special place. The acoustics were fantastic. The first violinist had a very strange and distracting habit of inhaling intensely and loudly through his nostrils while playing, even sometimes to signal the other players when to begin a phrase. This really detracted from the experience. We've never heard a musician do this before. He should get some coaching on breathing whilst playing.

This was an lovely concert experience. The musicians were highly skilled and the repertoire appealed to a mixed group. I would recommend this concert to others. I do feel that the seating in the small setting was a bit crowded. An improvement in seating would create an ideal experience.

Im Ticket war auch der Besuch des Mozarthauses enthalten, und es stand geschrieben, dass wir eine Stunde vorher kommen sollten wegen des Museums. Als wir dort ankamen, wurde uns jedoch mitgeteilt, dass die Information im Ticket nicht korrekt ist – das Mozarthaus ist nicht inbegriffen. Das hat zu Verwirrung und Zeitverlust geführt, da wir schon eine Stunde vorher dort waren. Als wir die Tickets für das Konzert erhielten, wurde uns gesagt, dass diese falsche Information korrigiert werden sollte. Abgesehen davon war das Konzert selbst wunderschön.

Attended this with my 19-year old son; was a great way to get the classical music experience in Vienna. Small room, beautifully decorated...I’m no expert but the musicians sounded good. Chamber music, with four musicians.

We went as a family (single mom of 2 adult girls). We were riveted. The acoustics are spectacular; the musicians are expert artists. I think it was the most beautiful music I’ve ever heard- to be in that setting with such disciplined talent. On our tour of 3 countries, this was my favorite experience. Instead, we enjoyed an enchanting evening with the Doha String Quartet, whose musical quality and very apt selection of piece left nothing to be desired. We absolutely loved the concert at Sala Terrena! The atmosphere was intimate, the string quartet performed beautifully, and the hall’s acoustics were excellent. Highly recommended for a small taste of classical music in a city filled with it!

The cozy venue was the perfect size and had excellent acoustics, allowing the audience to truly enjoy the concert. The string quartet exceeded my expectations. They are gifted musicians and highly professional, from their personal presentation to their clean and expressive interpretation of the musical pieces.

Le choix du répertoire, les musiciens et l'accueil à la Maison Mozart Vienne nous ont pleinement satisfaits.
Toutefois le prix nous a semblé un peu trop élevé. Nous sommes abonnés à un orchestre national et le prix d'un concert d'environ deux heures est beaucoup plus raisonnable.
Ensuite je ne suis pas sûr que l'acoustique de la salle soit si bonne pour un trio de solistes ? Quand on voit les infinies précautions qui sont prises pour éviter les réflexions sonores multiples et pour donc éviter le chaos sonore ? Voir par exemple le Musikverein ....
Nous garderons toutefois un excellent souvenir de notre séjour d'une semaine à Vienne !!

We enjoyed a Mozart Ensemble piano trio concert earlier this month (January 2026). The entire experience exceeded our expectations! The performance was wonderful, and the intimacy and the history of the concert space--Sala Terrena--made the experience all the more delightful. (We booked our tickets early enough so that we reserved seats in first of only four rows. Imagine sitting in such proximity to the musicians that, if the violinist needed to ask you turn the page for them, you could do so without getting out of your seat.) We would highly recommend this experience to any fan of Mozart, Beethoven, or Haydn, and especially to anyone making their first visit to Vienna. I also will say that the Konzerte in Mozarthaus team, both in person and behind the scenes, do well in identifying the location: concertgoers would do well to locate Singerstrasse 7 ahead of time (it's barely a couple minutes' stroll from Stephensplatz, but it's NOT at the Mozart Museum : ) ), and those who do so may be treated to a peek inside the equally intimate St. Elizabeth's church of the German Teutonic Order (located just inside the archway entrance at Singerstrasse 7).

My 20-year old son and I saw a concert here. It was such an amazing experience. It's been a few weeks now, but we still talk about how special it was. We loved the small venue, the beautiful space, the very talented musicians, and the acoustics!! So much better than in a large symphony hall. It was easy buying tickets on line, which we bought the day before (first week of January). The cheapest tickets were rows 5 and 6, I think.
I would recommend this to friends and family, and I will definitely go again.

This was perfect from the greetings of the staff to the concert to the concert itself. It was very appreciated that the room was lovely and warm. (Many other places in Vienna that seem not to correctly heat their public spaces. (Winter time).

The length of the concert was just right.

They do need to reduce the number of chairs though. There were more than a few very overweight visitors who spread over two chairs just to accommodate their size (barely). It would be better just to add five euro's to the price to reflect this. . In fact, have a two-level price structure. If you are from Europe a lower cost and for all other countries, a higher cost. Easy to arrange at time of online booking,.

Such a beautiful and intimate venue. Concert was amazing. Was drifting off imagining Mozart playing here 250 years ago.

This was such a fun experience and one of the highlights of our trip. The musicians were incredible, the music was so moving and the fresco was breathtaking. Definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Vienna who is eager for cultural experiences.

Only issue we ran into was finding the entrance. Do your research beforehand because apple maps wasn’t accurate and we ended up running in circles for 20 minutes and almost missed showtime. As a heads up it’s located right on the main road, not a side street!

Highly recommended whether or not you are a serious music lover. Quality of the musicianship was very high, and the intimate setting such a rare opportunity. Beautiful in every way.

The piano trio took themselves a little more seriously. Superb pianist and violinist. Two super programmes.
But a 'heads-up' to anyone going for the first time - the venue is NOT Mozart Haus. We were redirected to the correct venue by a very helpful but slightly annoyed staff member at Mozart Haus. Apparently it's a regular occurrence.
I've made it 4* because of the venue confusion as we might well have missed the Sunday performance.

Musicians were delightful.

The ensemble was fantastic and we really enjoyed it. The only downside was the audience - taking videos, violently coughing, making noise with wrappers and water bottles, it was quite distracting. I knew when I booked it, that it was for tourists but I did not anticipate such bad behavior. It may help the venue to ask the audience to refrain from such behavior to provide the best experience possible for those in attendance who are there to enjoy a concert and not all of the added percussion.

I recommend the Mozart Ensemble concert to anyone who loves music and the performance of musicians. There is not a bad seat in the venue and the acoustics are tremendous. The fresco paintings are from before Mozart lived at this church.

Look at Google Maps to ID the venue. There will be a sign on the sidewalk but it is hard to find and your taxi driver will be able to find the address but will not necessarily know the venue of "The Mozart House."

The performance was lovely. The musicians were excellent, especially the cellist. Booking was easy but make sure you book this group of performers. The performance space was very much like a chamber concert although the music was well known music.

Perfect for a winter activity. I was with my partner, we enjoyed both, learned much about Mozart and had fun. The musicians were skilled and the concert was beautiful.

We loved how small and intimate the venue was for the performance. The venue was gorgeous and truly felt like we were back in the old days with Mozart. The fact that the venue was a lot smaller than an auditorium or opera house made the music sound incredible, and I really felt like I could connect with the performers and see their movements and expressions as they were playing. The performers were also very funny, and I loved how they engaged with the audience.

Booking this activity was extremely easy. I booked tickets for my boyfriend and me only one night before hand, and we were able to get our tickets very easily. I'm not sure how quickly these performances sell out, but I'm glad that we were able to attend this event so last minute.

I would highly recommend this to anyone! I think this was one of my favorite (if not favorite) part of visiting Vienna =')

An intimate musical experience that delivered from start to finish. Short but perfectly paced, with undeniable artistry throughout. Our multigenerational family (ages 11-72) was thoroughly engaged. A real gem!

This would have been a great concert even if it wasn’t in Mozarthaus. (Although that did add to the ambiance.) The musicians were amazing and had a wonderful rapport with the audience. This was the highlight of my two weeks in Austria!

Everyone in my group truly loved the experience. The musicians were not only talented and passionate with the music but we enjoyed their storytelling of Mozart or the other composers or the salon space.
I regret we did not realize the church next door could have been visited. A little more historical info about the monastery the salon was a part of in the initial information or on the website to be directed to would have been helpful.

The quartet was exceptional. I thoroughly enjoyed each piece selected for the concert and closed my eyes to fully surround myself with the music. I only wished that the audience held their applause until the end of each piece as is customary and proper. Perhaps before the performers entered, the staff could have cued the audience to hold their applause for an uninterrupted performance.

This was a wonderful, intimate experience with talented and engaging musicians. Totally worth it and the highlight of my trip to Vienna!

The experience remains enjoyable thanks to the musicians who play very well and the beauty of the venue, but if you can find better, do so!
It feels like a tourist trap in terms of how it operates and how you are seated, even though the venue is quite small. There is really no reason to charge different prices for seats.
Then the welcome is a little cold, the performance starts after the hour and ends before or just on time. I also regret that the musicians are so quick; they play, there's an intermission, they come back to play and leave immediately. All these elements really spoil the experience, which is a shame. The show lacks a human touch and interaction.

The music experience at the place where Mozart lived will stay with me forever.
The musicians were outstanding and the music filled the intimate space making a magical event.
The chamber is hand painted with beautiful frescos making the experience even more magical.
A must to do while in Vienna.

The concert setting is very intimate. Our front row seats were 5 feet away from the musicians. The trio put on an amazing show. With half of our 8 person group being musicians, we were impressed with their technical skill, musicality and showmanship. We highly recommend the Mozart House.

What an amazing experience. The venue was intimate, the acoustics were perfect and the musicians were fantastic. The concert was icing on the cake for our trip to Vienna.

The setting in Mozart's first apartment in Vienna is a perfect place to experience top musicians perform classical pieces. The intimate seating where you sit close to musicians gives an intense and emotional atmosphere. The 4 musicians play with such accuracy and power that makes you feel you sit in front of a 20 person string orchestra. The pieces were mostly Mozart, but the quartet also played a very difficult piece by Schubert. There is a small introduction to the building and the music. The atmosphere is relaxed with the music in focus. We will definitely come back for another performance next time we are in Vienna. It's easy to book and easy to find.

The concert was joyful. The Mozart Ensemble played with zest and were clearly enjoying themselves. We heard 2 pieces by Mozart, 1 by Haydn (whom I prefer to Mozart, marginally) and a Strauss waltz - ending with an encore of the Emperor waltz by Strauss. Setting delightful and original. A memorable experience in my Vienna visit.

We had such a fantastic time at the string quartet concert. The musicians were of the highest quality and performed wonderfully, and it was a truly unique experience to enjoy the music in an amazing venue. Highly recommended.

We expected a lot coming in from classical music in Vienna, but this far exceeded expectations. Each of the three musicians in the piano trio were brilliant musicians and engaging performers. It was easy to feel the spirit couscing through the room!

My husband and I had a wonderful night at this concert in the MozartHaus. The enthusiasm and professionalism of the musicians was incredible and we thoroughly enjoyed the intimate setting with such a small audience. I have no hesitation in recommending this event to anyone looking to experience a concert without hordes of people. It gave me goosebumps to think that Mozart himself had played in the same room!

The lovely small venue was a perfect intimate place to fully be absorbed in the exquisite music. The acoustics were excellent. The performers were outstanding and masterful. The programme was divine. The performance was excellent, with great enthusiasm from the musicians. Acoustics in the hall brilliant. The experience was only spoiled by fellow audience members arriving late. The lead violin even commented that it felt more like a pop concert than a classical performance. Maybe it should be made clear in booking that late comers will be made to wait outside until an appropriate point in the programme and then only allowed in during a break in performance. Also not sure that seating in doorway is appropriate from a health and safety perspective as evacuation would have been difficult.

Vraiment agréable! Très belle salle, bon acoustique, très bons musiciens! Ce fut un très bon spectacle, et que dire de penser qu'on est dans un endroit rempli d'une si longue histoire!!!
Le côté très intime de cette salle est super intéressant, mais le serait encore plus s'il y avait un peu plus de place pour chacun. Quelques chaises de moins serait préférable au plus grand confort de tous. Mais ne boudez pas le plaisir d'y assister malgré ce petit bémol.

A beautiful historic venue, great acoustics, a don't miss in vienna

Despite having paid for a premium seat, I was directed towards the middle of the pack, and actively stopped from taking a seat in the front row..which remained empty during the performance. The musicians looked really worn out. They hacked through some 'crowd pleasers' without any commitment to an authentic or fulfilling musical experience. Utterly disappointing. To be avoided.

While I enjoyed the music, the setting was a total fire hazard. Chairs were lined up with exit access at only one end. The other end abutted a wall. One can't even escape the chairs under the windows because they are trapped by the row in front of them. Since the two windows and door are both closed during performance, there is no ventilation in the room and it is extremely hot. In addition, the information online says that it is "open seating." That is not in fact correct. There are A and B seats. I assumed that meant that within those areas, the seats would be open. My husband and I purchased A seats and arrived extremely early in order to procure the seats we wanted, however, the man at the ticket counter said that we had been assigned to specific seats. I asked how this was possible given the open seating policy. He said seats are assigned based on when tickets were purchased. My tickets were purchased months in advance. And, despite the open seating, the two front rows were reserved for a tour group. I get claustrophobic and refused to sit in my mid row assigned seat. There was no way I was going to sit in a place where I was trapped in case of emergency. After much complaining, the man at the ticket counter eventually allowed us to sit along the wall. Unfortunately, for these reasons, I would never recommend this concert to anyone.

Definitely worth a visit for music lovers. Highly professional musicians in small (6-7 rows) hall with amazing acoustic used by Mozart himself.

Just fantastic in every way. Small Sala allows for an intimate appreciation of the music. Would highly recommend to anyone visit Vienna. The location was hard to find due to construction across the street but we latched on to other lost tourists and together we found it.
The room is cozy so leave your jacket in the assigned coat room. Don’t take video or photos of the concert as it’s happening - very rude as the one lady next to me insisted on doing despite the written request not to.

An intimate, high-quality concert in a beautiful setting. The orchestra is friendly, high-quality, and provides additional information about the pieces throughout. However, the price is a bit steep, and the break/pause, where a soft drink or wine additionally must be purchased, doesn't help either.

The musicians were superb, but the chairs are uncomfortable and cramped together, and the space itself is small so the music is pretty loud, almost uncomfortably so at times. Although I enjoyed it, I much preferred a similar experience in Salzburg at the Marble Hall.

The trio concert at the Mozarthaus was an unforgettable experience. The program featured not only Mozart, but also works by other great composers, giving the evening a beautiful variety while still capturing the spirit of Vienna’s classical tradition. The musicians performed with passion and precision, bringing out the character and emotion in each piece ❤️❤️

Differentiate themselves by not playing what we have already heard too much time. Very nice concert hall but given its size (about 10m x 10m ) the sound was sometime very loud. It was nice to féal that Mozart and Brahms played there.

It was a very aesthetic and emotional experience. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in hearing good music in an intimate way.

Googled Mozarthaus for location, only to be directed to wrong place. Apparently “Mozart lived in more than one place” Fortunately the venue was not too far and we were able to get there n time.

I would recommend adding an adult only event. There was a couple with 2 small children in the crowd; at a small venue like this with the concentration needed to play this type of music I was a bit disappointed that young children would be admitted to a 8:00 show. Children crying at a Mozart Emsemble is not good for business. Adults crying by how amazing this group performed is ok lol.

It would be more suitable and realistic if they played on period instruments. The cement walls and tiled floor is too live for modern instruments. Hurts my ears.

People: grrrrr. People were allowed to enter late, delaying the show start. Very inconsiderate. Brochure clearly states no cell phone recordings/photos but the cell/social media addicts just can’t live without filming everything. Again, very inconsiderate. I do recommend the organizers remind the audience just before the show starts that no video/photos are allowed during the performance. This did not happen.

That said, I do recommend this performance, it was worth the price of admission..

The venue and the ensemble were good, very intimate and an interesting setting.
We certainly enjoyed the evening, about the right length.
However, would have enjoyed more Mozart at Mozarthaus, and much less Chopin. Sorry, just not a fan of his music.

This was my first classical concert anywhere, and I don't even listen to classical music. I found the performance spellbinding, and the passion of the musicians was clear to see in their facial expressions. It was one of my favourite experiences ever! I was in the centre of the front row, which made it even more special.

This was a nice intimate surprise. Musicians were excellent and quite entertaining. My only negative comment is that they should offer you a glass of champagne during intermission instead of breaking the concert up to try to sell you a glass.

In so einen historischen Raum ein so wundervolles Konzert zu erleben hat mich in die Zeit von Mozart zurückversetzt. Ich konnte diese Atmosphäre von damals in der schönen Sala Terrena in jeder Faser meines Körpers spüren. Alle drei Musiker waren Weltklasse. Mit dem Ensemble aus Geige, Klavier und Cello hat es sich wie ein ganzes Orchester angefühlt. Ganz nette Idee, dass jeweils ein Part von einem Musiker alleine gespielt wurde. Was der Klavierspieler mit seinen Fingern vermochte zu vollbringen ist einfach unglaublich. Auch der Part mit der Dame und ihrem Celo, Gänsehaut pur.
Wer nach Wien geht sollte sich dieses Konzert auf jeden Fall gönnen. Das Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis passt zu 100 %.

The best Mozart concert I have attended. Each of the four players were outstanding and the pieces chosen were great. And being in the very room where Mozart played was special.

Concert avec trio : piano, violon, violoncelle. La salle est de taille réduite (50 places maximum) avec une sonorité particulière car la pièce est voutée. Nous avons passé une soirée inoubliable, avec des artistes remarquables et très proches de leur public. Un spectacle à ne pas manquer, mais à réserver à l'avance car l'assistance est par nature limitée.

J'ai adoré l'expérience. Magnifique concert avec un bel entracte pour prendre un verre dans une cour intérieure.

Beau répertoire d'une belle longueur.

Le seul bémol, un peu trop de chaise pour la taille de la salle, nous étions pas mal trop serrés, coudes-à-coudes sans espaces.

This concert was absolutely delightful! Had no difficulties booking or attending! I would definitely recommend this to friends! The musicians were lovely and I found it so nice that the first violinist introduced the pieces and gave a bit of history and context about the composers and the music! Would go again any time

Very nice experience with friendly and talented musicians.

My family of four attended the piano/violin/cello ensemble concert, and purchased seats within the first three rows. The repertoire was varied, showcasing familiar favorites with pieces that we were introduced to on the evening. Most importantly, the pieces showcased the immense talents of the musicians. The 60 minute total time was perfect to enjoy with kids and the venue was cozy. It was a totally worthwhile and memorable event.
